Regarding the Bloodier and Gorier entry, BTAS showed blood, too, and in the very first episode "On Leather Wings". Right after Batman takes down Man-Bat after being pulled through the sky by him on a rope, there's a prominent close-up of Batman's face and he's bloody.

That is, unless this is something that was censored when it aired on TV as opposed to on Amazon Prime and HBO Max.

How did the Phantasm (Andrea) know The Joker was the mobster who had murdered her father? Granted, he does reveal his hand in the plot by killing Valestra, but did she know he had assumed the Joker identity prior to that?

Regarding the following entry:

  • Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: Does the Phantasm have supernatural abilities? Or is it just done with smoke grenades and other tricks? It could just be a cool costume like Batman's, but the Ghostly Glide and the No-Sell periodic immunity to bullets hint at a different explanation.

I deleted it because there's no indication that the Phantasm's powers are supernatural. Troper jamespolk restored it with the edit reason, "There are at least two indications that the Phantasm may be supernatural and I have listed them."

Here's the thing: you've listed two abilities the Phantasm has that are unexplained. "Unexplained" =/= "supernatural." For it to count, it would have to be implied that her powers are specifically supernatural, and it isn't. At all.

There's no indication that the character has access to supernatural abilities. She doesn't study witchcraft. She doesn't do stage magic. She doesn't pray to the God of Spookiness.

There is exactly as much evidence for her being a robot as having supernatural powers, but she's not listed under Ambiguous Robots.

It's not a point of deliberate ambiguity that the narrative dangles in front of us. It's not addressed at all, because it doesn't matter.

Correct. The Phantasm just has a spiffy suit. If, say, there was a scene where Bruce goes "but wait, how did she manage to do x or y?" after examining her suit, then sure. But yeah, no.

Filling a work page for a movie from 1993 full of spoiler tags really is dirt stupid.
