Exactly my issue.. especially as Natani's situation gets more and more complicated.
Don't make me destroy you. @ Castle SeriesSomething I hope gets addressed in the comics: Is Natani's deal "I am male becaue that's who I am, biology be damned" or "I am male because women are weak and helpless and I am none of those things?" Six of one, half-dozen of the other? Let's not forget how strongly misogynist Natani was when first introduced. Not really looking for a single, black/white answer, just for the situation to be addressed, in-universe.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn.Well, I just officially made the last 36 edits. Most of them in the last few hours. If I learn someone reverts it back to an earlier state, I will be pissed. I fixed a lot though. I'm a little bit iffy about referring to Natani as a "her" though.
Edited by 99.54.93.71 Don't make me destroy you. @ Castle SeriesClipped the Bi The Way entry for Natani. For this to fit..
- Natani would have to be explicitly bi. We've only seen her attracted to one person: Keith.
- Her sexuality would have to be treated as no big deal. As we've seen with her inner freak outs whenever she has "those thoughts" about Keith or goes into heat, this is not the case.
Okay, the cast page states her as bisexual (and rather telling that her's is the only entry that states orientation). Still, for the trope to fit her, she'd have to admit to being bi and not make a big deal about it. So #2 is still in play.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn."Some characters just happen to be bisexual." That is the trope in a nutshell, a charecter is bi and normal, it isn't a perfect fit as her sexuality hasn't come up yet (presumably her gender issues take priority) but if were going to note Alaric's sexuality based on the cast page (the only other noted sexuality) It would be remiss of us not to atleast mention it. Also those freak outs are more about her body than her sexuality.
Edited by epsilon246Alaric's Ho Yay moments with Keith speaks for themselves enough that you don't even need the character page to assume though, so it's slightly different.
Guys, I'm pretty sure we should be referring to Natani with male pronouns. I know there's been plenty of (pretty feminine) fanservice attached to Nat, and even the writer is inconsistent with the pronouns he uses, but that doesn't change the fact that Natani is female-to-male transgendered, which makes him male (if you're being respectful to trans people, that is)
