Why the heck doesn't this have a character page?
Hide / Show RepliesI do not think the Rape as Comedy entry is valid. The dickwolves strip does not draw it's humor directly from the act of rape, but rather from the fact that the game in question do not require you to save more slaves than necessary to complete the quest, meaning that you are leaving some of them behind to a terrible fate, and that makes you look more like a mercenary (I was paid to save these guys, not you, piss off) than a hero (I should save everyone, because it is the right thing to do).
I know there have been a huge discussion all over the web about that strip, which is why I have written this. I want to know if there is consensus for removing or changing the entry.
(edited for accuracy)
Edited by UtritumThe comic has expanded into some real meta areas of both developers' lives, especially with the PATV reality series (not to mention Blamimations as an interesting offshoot). Can we start a new list of tropes on this page for things like Jerry's Bald Of Awesome?
Hide / Show RepliesI think PATV deserves its own page, or at least a section on the main Penny Arcade page. I'm honestly surprised there's not more stuff on it here already.
Is that Brick Joke really made up? If so, Tycho and Gabe are both Satan. Either way, Fighteer, I know a challenge when I see one. You have sent me on a holy Archive Binge. I shall not return until I have the grail- er, I mean, comic.
And if you ARE right, which you probably are, I will be very angry. Not at you, or the comic, but at myself for having to prove my own points for no dang reason. Well, okay, the comic a little. Making up a brick joke that only other Archive Bingers would know is fake is just cruel.
Hide / Show RepliesCrap, it is. I found 2 Duke Nukem Forever strips, though, just not that one. I guess it was more of an art callback than anything else.
Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on GIFT underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- GIFT: The Trope Namer.
