Values Dissonance: The comic's social credit system forces people away from reading the Bible and severely penalizes people associated with dissidents in the name of "equality" and "correctness," forcing the characters to flee to where they can practice their religion. The afterword clearly states that such systems and consumerism should be rejected (a fairly middle-of-the-road position) and that people should instead submit themselves to God because people are all inherently sinful and good deeds can't earn salvation. The insistence that the Christian faith is the only path of redemption for people doesn't really sit well with more secular or non-Christian readers.

Values Dissonance doesn't apply, since this is a modern comic.
