- Designated Love Interest: Everyone watching episode 1 felt Edward was going to be Gigi's Love Interest.
- After viewing the third episode, the viewers are thus divided : a small minority dislikes him because of his blunt, harsh tone of voice and nerdiness, a big one likes him because of his nerdiness and bluntness and ships him with Gigi, and a small majority likes him, but doesn't ship him with Gigi because they see him as a kinder Ricky.
Deleting because it's natteriffic.
And I will add this: there is another group who sees is him as a major creep who boasts himself to know geeky stuff and sci.fi, and that uses blue pill as a thing to end conversation. But he got it mixed up as "blue pill" was not a way out (I think). Not to mention Accidental Innuendo... Blue pill? Really?
Lots of people who read Sandition — the draft or various finished versions — ship Charlotte H. with Sidney Parker. This shipping business sucks. Ugh.
Edited by 70.33.253.44 Hide / Show RepliesYes, Sidney Parker is the only one who isn't trying to "live up" to a cheesy charmer / fictional Domestic Abuser, so it's kind of necessary to give Sidney Parker the "only suitable Love Interest", but a lot of people fell for Edward Denham's (probably intentional) Designated Love Interest status. However, projecting audience is indeed wrong, so sorry about writing this. Perhaps you should add Accidental Innuendo in the main page.
I think we should wait a bit to see how the relationships develop. :-)
Accidental Innuendo is a YMMV-trope. I will set up the sub-page and write an entry.
I don't think Clara is a jerk at all, so as a dubious example, I am moving it here. If you disagree, please comment.
Tom Parker might be more like it. He seems to be the jerk with good intentions that go awry.
