I contest this:

  • Downer Ending: One of them, anyway. Maybe. Ima's poem is very depressing, and seems to imply that she either wasn't able to ascend to the Surface or died in the process, causing the new world to fall into stagnation or decay.
    • None of the endings are exactly happy. Though Ima's and Aya's are by far the worst, all of them seem to imply that the world that the ascended creates is far from perfect, each missing something essential.

Specifically, the part about Aya's ending being a Bad Ending because the world lacks something. The poems are certainly bizarre, but hers doesn't seem to imply that to me: it seems more that there was bad mixed in with the good...so more of a Bittersweet Ending. The Nameless Sister's ending, however, rather explicitly states that "Our dream's meaning, the world will never gain", implying that the new world does indeed lack something important.

Hmm. This is a subjective topic, based on the interpretation of the poems. My take on Sister Death's ending is that it's talking about freedom.

"We never heard again once we departed – the sinner's prayers sound in discord... An earthly god's communion is reward from priests in temples never started."

Particularly the idea of religious freedom as with the quote above, as well as the mention of a "herdless flock" and "saviour". The downside of this being that humans are now without guidance: mentions of "blindness" and a reference to fallen Troy, probably speaking on honor in the face of impending doom as a result of this "abandonment of the hive."

Since this is subjective, perhaps the entry as Downer Ending should be omitted entirely and replaced with Esoteric Happy Ending or Bittersweet Ending.

Aya's reads badly to me because of the repeated references to death and decay and, if I recall correctly, the accompanying fog color which goes over her ending is blood red. Certainly gives the vibe for Downer Ending, but some people may think otherwise. Neutralizing the entry is probably for the best.

Yes. Make sure you look for The Void instead of Turgor.
