Why does the sentence about independently eating hated/joke food items keep getting removed?
Hide / Show RepliesBecause I've never seen a Mii's stomach suddenly get food inside it. Every time something does appear, it's because I fed it to a Mii.
In my game it happens on many occasions, notably including someone eating a ruined meal without me ever having one and someone eating cherries without me ever having one.
I also read someone else's anecdote about catching one of their Miis with candy corn in her stomach, only to discover at a later date that it was her Worst Ever.
Maybe it's not common (it seems like it for me but then I know proportions differ from player to player) but it happens.
Edit: It seems to only happen in the morning.
Edited by 98.237.249.192I'm a little late in saying this, but I can confirm that Miis' stomachs sometimes contain food that they didn't receive from the player. However, I don't know what causes it.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Miitomo just got released, and it's basically a spinoff of this series. Should details and examples for it be added to this page, or should a separate page be created?
Edited by Aipom14 Hide / Show RepliesIt would probably be better to put info for it on this page. It's such a basic game that an article solely for it probably wouldn't get very long.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Re: Clicking stuff before phone calls (which I have since found to work for any calls other than crying babies)
I do it all the time. I can play the game several times in a day and not view the first send-off/birth/Spot Pass queued item until I want to for whatever reason, which is very helpful if I only have time to briefly check something like the morning market.
This means it's either possible to do or somehow my game is glitched in such a way that it is. You do have to be quick about it though.
Hide / Show RepliesI just tried it today before parents called to try and ship off their baby. It didn't let me tap anything.
Would the following be an example of You Can't Thwart Stage One?
- No matter what you do, you cannot prevent fights between two Miis from occurring, including the random trio of fights generated after at least an hour of inactivity.
What about a trope for when your Miis keep getting infected with fevers and stomach viruses constantly?
Hide / Show RepliesThe Trope Finder might help you.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWould there be any tropes that could work for Miis wanting to go out on a date with their wife/husband, but if you pick a certain choice they'll go "I dunno, I don't feel like going there right now" and they 100% withdraw the date? I was originally going to write it under Hypocrite.
Hide / Show RepliesDon't know, but I was sort of wondering about that too, so I've asked at Lost And Found about it.
So I can see there was no luck in figuring out what trope would fit.
How about what happens when you turn down a Mii's request to give you money? The way they go "O_O" then "^_^" seems really disturbing for me, like they're complete dicks and they're happy you don't want the money.
Would the whole "Miis fighting with another Mii over a teddy bear" and the hostile fights showing an adult Mii refusing to apologize to a child because they think that they didn't start it be an example of Psychopathic Manchild?
Hide / Show RepliesThe hostile fights might, but the teddy bear fights probably just go under regular Manchild.
Am I the only one who thinks "Dragon's Fire" is about food? The lines "crusty beasty beast" and "evil chicken lizard" make me think the singer is fighting some kind of fried chicken monster "just in time for brunch."
Then again, with this game's constant recurring theme of food, I wouldn't be surprised.
Removed examples of What the Hell, Hero? that did not fit Moral Dissonance or Designated Hero better:
- Selling Trash Food in the Morning Markets or sticking a Trash Food inside a Mystery Bag. Same goes for low-selling treasures in the Night Market and after an islander Game.
- Refusing to apologize after having a fight with another Mii.
- When a Mii wants to ask someone out, the target Mii not even showing up.
- Somehow making a baby burst into tears the instant you leave their house.
- If two Miis successfully divorce, they demolish their own house.
Re: Trash food "subversion"
Not A Subversion, and as far as I know, not an aversion either. I don't think there's any limit to how many different types of food items you can keep in your inventory at once—meaning just letting the joke food sit there would be an acceptable option. I've unlocked 75% of the food items and have at least one copy of all of them in my inventory.
Re: The babies
Reworded a part that presumes unprompted behavior. I mean, I've seen some babies with hair trigger tempers after just being born but almost never check in on the babies unprompted.
Re: Local Hangout favoring your look-alike
Again, this does not seem to apply to my game, nor my sibling's game, nor the Let's Play I watched with only about fifteen Miis. You might just have a very popular/charismatic Mii.
You know, I have a question.
Would the Miis repeatedly asking for the player to look inside their stomach and brain count as an example of Blue-and-Orange Morality?
Hide / Show RepliesNo, that one is a trope about a whole morality system. Not just for any weird question.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPlease don't merge the Fan Disservice with Fanservice, guys, as otherwise, it violates Example Indentation.
Yeah, I know it's redundant, but it'll have to do until the entries are rewritten (without relying on one another by saying "likewise" and not filling it in, since that consitutes Word Cruft).
Edited by 41.132.75.211 Hide / Show RepliesWhy does the Fan Disservice entry talk about material that is proper Fanservice?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI guess seeing some Miis as FREAKIN' MUSCULAR or in revealing wear might be disturbing. (I apologize for the example but what if Bowser was in a Bikini?)
Is there a reason why both Tomodachi Life and Tomodachi Collection have to be on the same page under the sequel's title? It just bugs me since i feel like it's just going to confuse people into mixing up the two games.
I wanted to add an example for a trope that only appeared in Collection onto the original trope's page, but i felt like having to add the title for the sequel first before specifying the game that didn't have its own page would just confuse readers. And if i also wanted to add a video example concerning Collection, i would also have to put it under the sequel's name when they shouldn't be under the same name.
I know they're very similar, but they're also different enough to not deserve getting mixed up. Is it possible to have a series page for the Tomodachi games? The current description seems to want to treat itself as a series page while the rest of the page mostly focuses on Life.
yarisflat is a pretty cool ship lol
