Well I've been adding tropes as I've played the game, to all main, character, Trivia and Your Mileage May Vary...

I play Super Robot Wars, I know what I edit.

...Is it just me, or does the music judging from the 2nd PV sound...kind of...bad? Most notably the Fafner one, Tori no Uta, and Quantum Burst. ...It's...uh...they don't use the right kind of sounds at all, and it sounds a bit like haphazard SNES midis stumblingly transfused into a 3DS game.

Personally, I don't think so. They all sounded great to me. Granted, I would've been just fine if they sounded like the music in L did (L had some great music).

While we're on the subject of Tori no Uta, it sounded the same as it did in L, just with a different instrument playing in place of the original vocals. The backround? Sounded exactly the same to me. Not that I had a problem.

And though I didn't get to hear the verse part, Life Goes On so far is the best of the awesome. And Dunbine Tobu was pretty great too.

About the only music I found questionable was Love14, and it, well...it's Miku Hatsune, what'd you expect?

There's something to consider: the matter of the 3DS having speakers that aren't that great compared to headphones.

Please tell me that somebody's going to edit this once the story's confirmed. Because the majority of these are just conjecture, particularly the Post-Script Season entry; that's just begging to be deleted.

It seems pretty silly that people are accusing this game of having a Lazy Artist. Have they not...have they not even seen the preview? All of the units that have appeared in the DS games have been entirely redone graphically. Dancougar Nova and the Mark Elf don't look ANYTHING like their K/L sprites, and while I can't tell definitively because we don't get the best look of Linebarrel, it definitely looks quite a bit better. Hell, even though the style is a bit similar to Z2 (though with DS proportions), the one little bit of Frontier we saw looks entirely different from both its previous appearance.

This is true, though I would like to point out that Dancougar Nova, at least, seems to be suffering from this a bit: its units may have different sprites, but their animations so far seem to be (almost) reused from L. In fact, they actually gave the pilots new dialogue so that they could (for the most part) reuse L's Final DanKuuHou animation. If nothing else, it seems that Dancougar Nova is getting the short end of the stick animation-wise.

Also, on a very minor note, the portraits for Aoi, Kurara, Eida, Jefferey, Bobby, and Soushi are all reused (though Shinn, Kira, Athrun, Kazuki, Kenji, Alto, Canaria, Luca, Koichi, Moritsugu, Miu and Shizuna are all new, with Kazuki even getting a separate portraits for TV appearance and his movie appearance, so it's not THAT bad, especially since it seems all characters appear to have at least 2 portraits: 1 while in battle, and 1 whilet outside battle, regardless of whether or not their appearance actually changes), and they even did a simple Palette Swap of the GREAT soldiers from purple to green (as seen in one of screenshots for Dancougar Nova Max God's Final DanKuuHou), though there may actually be another reason for that.

Most "First SR Ws" are fond of reusing some things for simplicity, W wasn't that different with returning series from J. Though there isn't much more they could improve portraits; the linebarrel case being a special standpoint, though the fact they haven't changed Hayase's cutins is a bit distressing; here's hoping there was just early build antics.

Edit: having re-read the manga, the cutins are closer to the manga style than I originally thought.

The outside of battle portraits have been a thing in more recent portables (Bera in L, Moritsugu in L, and so forth). Though I suspect the reason for not going for a full range (ala a console or Z2 game) may be the matter of cutting down on memory usage (and keeping price down)

Edit: Protrait range for everyone seems to have been increased, even for those who didn't (such as Lunamaria)

As far as Dancougar Nova, it stood out among other L mechs for its more realistic proportions, perhaps it was something we got early in L.

I think the build of the improvements would likely be voice and battle animations though only time will tell if Dancougar Nova gets enhanced animations or not in the end.

I do think what we saw was a bit of an early build, actually. The animations look a bit unfinished, with a lack of effects to them, which is why they look a little bit odd and bare-bones (SKL's little gun-kata thing, for one, has a distinct lack of swooshyness). I mean, it was announced right after O G2nd, it's perfectly possible this was all done in the space of a few weeks.

Not quite on topic, but, if I may ask, how does one due the whole, "redirect Main to Video Game" thing that all the other SRW games have?

I ask this because I once started the Super Robot Wars UX page on a "Main" page instead of a "Video Game" page, so I had Cut all the stuff I wrote for it and Pasted on this page. Now I'd like to know how to redirect anything that does not have "Video Game/" in front of it to the page that does.
