The UFO that helps Bowser capture Peach's Castle is listed under What Happened to the Mouse?, but the entry is at the very least inaccurate, if not just outright false. The same UFO is seen floating around Bowser's forces in the cutscene on approach to the final area. Not only that, similarly designed UF Os can be seen on the part of the Topman tribe, but perhaps the 3 bumps on the bottom of their ships is just coincidentally similar. Either way, a correction is needed to some degree.
Edited by Epicawesomeness5Removed these:
- Crowning Moment Of Awesome: Bowser laying siege on the Mushroom Kingdom and sending Mario into deep space. After an entire generation of gratuitous Villain Decay, seeing Bowser reverse it is refreshing.
- And wait until you see what he has in store for the sequel◊...
- He also seems to have added meteor showers, flight and instant teleportation to his repertoire of moves.
- Mario punching Bowser into the sun, grabbing the last Grand Star, and catching a falling Peach one-handed while flying ain't bad either.
- In Galaxy 2, he punts Bowser into a black hole!
- Crowning Moment Of Funny: In Deep Dark Galaxy's purple coin mission, if you talk to the Toad Brigade captain before breaking any boxes, he'll say, "Scared? Don't worry, I'll protect you. If any ghosts come out, I'll send them running scared! Too bad I don't see any ghosts," then "No ghosts here! Too bad you don't get to see me in action." That's your cue to break open the box next to you and reveal the ghost and watch the Toad leader turn to jelly.
- The ending of the sequel: As the baby Luma is reunited with Rosalina, he takes Mario's hat with him!
- The fact that you can torment a miniaturized Bowser at one point in the credits.
- The ending of the sequel: As the baby Luma is reunited with Rosalina, he takes Mario's hat with him!
- Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming: In the ending, when Rosalina appears to Mario, and explains the cycle of life in the universe, and brings him back to the Mushroom Kingdom, to be greeted with a homecoming from the cast.
- One might almost shed a tear seeing The Lumas all jumping into the black hole.
- If you get all 120 stars you can even see the Luma you had been traveling with waving at you from the new galaxy.
- The ending of Rosalina's story falls under this.
- Crowning Music Of Awesome: The entire soundtrack.
- The Second Game features more of it. This troper's thinking that John Williams composed for Super Mario Galaxy 2.
- Your Milage May Vary as this troper thinks the music is pretty poor compared to the original.
- The Second Game features more of it. This troper's thinking that John Williams composed for Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Can we at least try to pick a single crowning moment for each of these before we add it back in?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. Hide / Show RepliesI think for the Crowning Music, we can just say both games' soundtracks were pretty spectacular, I don't know for the others. Why can't we just leave them in?
Because Komodin really really really really really thinks its all natter. And none of it will get on if he goes unopposed.
Uh, no. We shouldn't have to pick just one thing. They are all awesome, so they should all go in. The "single item" thing is for things like crowners and stuff. The idea that there should only be one hasn't been used in ages, despite being "Moment" not "Moments". I'm putting at least the music thing back in, I'll make it a little more specific though.
After thinking it over, yeah, you're right. I've added them back in the page, de-nattering them as much as possible.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Awesome: The introduction. Epic, epic, epic, especially compared to Sunshine's intro! Funny: Eh, nothing really comes to mind. Heartwarming: The stars sacrificing their lives in the end, sort of. Music: Gusty Garden Galaxy. Melty Molten in second. The finale level/boss battle in third. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNqEfB6IYmE
Could the Toad Brigade be a Five-Man Band? I suppose we're used to band including the game's main hero.
I think making a different page for the sequel is unnecessary, the 2 games are already very alike.
GAME OVERAre the Wii-controlled minigames really Waggle? I personally didn't have trouble with the control and they don't have the shoehorned-in feel that a lot of Wii games have. Yes, Scrappy Mechanic is a Subjective Trope, but that implication irks me (not to mention I have a strong suspicion that people simply aren't patient enough to learn the new control scheme and thus blame the game for it).
Edited by ClicheCould someone please explain exactly how Rosalina is a Scrappy? As far as I can tell, she seems to be pretty well-liked.
Hide / Show RepliesTo my knowledge, the only person here who is consistently added Rosalina as an example of The Scrappy is the user "Patrobotnik". Rosalina must be his/her personal Scrappy.
Edited by Komodin Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Really? She seemed to be hated by some people for apparently being a Mary Sue. Part of it must've been the Rosalina is God theory since a lot of people are tired of it. But I like her.
Edited by Marioguy128 You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!
Does Buoy Base Galaxy count as a One-Scene Wonder? Given that it has a unique mechanic, unique track, and likely a player's first Green Star I feel like it comes under this, if not Ensemble Dark Horse.
