Not really sure what trope to file this under, if there even is one...
But the amount of common threads between Soma and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture are off the charts. Both made by Amnesia Developers, both deal with the apocalypse, both are based around scientist protags named Kate/Catherine, both are about relationships strained by said apocalypse, both are story/exploration driven adventure games, ect.
