I think this game might actually be a sequel to the 2016 game instead of INTO THE NEXUS. It makes perfect sense, since at the end of the 2016 film it showed Nefarious still alive now in his robot form. While at the end of ALL 4 ONE it showed him looking sad at a picture of him and his new friends meaning that he might be having second thoughts of his evil ways.

I disagree. As I described in a detailed edit request I recently wrote for Wikipedia (on the same issue), Insomniac never intended to rewrite the canon for Ratchet and Clank with the 2016 game. Only for it to be an Adaptation Expansion and a tie-in to the film.

Regarding Dr. Nefarious, I don't think that he would immediately decide to turn good even after all that. It's possible that he could become more Affably Evil towards the heroes, but the ending of All 4 One was still mostly an implication. He could just shrug it off.

And the Call Backs seen in the trailer are still mostly Future-series based, as is the dimension traveling concept in the first place.

Im pretty sure it's a sequel to the 2016 game I've been doing a lot of research and most of the info I find says it's a sequel to the 2016 game. Wikipedia even says it's a direct sequel.

P.S. that link you sent me in the reply is a total flop.

The Wikipedia information that it was a sequel to the 2016 game was only based on one source (IGN, which has given inaccurate info in the past), with said source not giving any further elaboration.

No URL is going to link properly in this discussion, so here's my instructions: go to Rift Apart's Wikipedia article. In the top left corner you'll see the "Talk" subpage for it. Scroll down to the third edit request from the top.
