Considering that the final product has several notable Icarus references — in the first mission alone, we see Adam airdiving with the sun behind him, and a shot/dream sequence at the end of the mission where he has wings like Icarus and falls away from the sun — I think we can safely say that this theory has been jossed.
It's a little silly to put "beware spoilers" AFTER a huuge ending spoiler right in the description. Anybody got any ideas how to reformat this to make the warning actually functional?
Hide / Show RepliesAssuming you're talking about the ending of Human Revolution that's mentioned in the description, it would probably fall under Late-Arrival Spoiler.
The events at Panchaea play a key role in the game and are discussed (and referenced) frequently throughout it. You can't really discuss the game without getting into the previous ending.

Regarding the Icarus Allusion entry, the series' consistent wing motif also comes off as resemblant of that of an angel or a phoenix this time around. The latter seems more fitting, given the context of the story and how Adam has "risen from the ashes" of the previous game's evets and been "born anew," embracing his cyborg nature as a way of atoning for what the choice he made that led to the events of Mankind Divided. Would it be alright to tack this possibility onto the aforemention entry, or does it belong in YMMV? Or is there another trope that better fits this possible interpretation?
