Does No Canon for the Wicked or Cutting Off the Branches apply? Since the world still has sunlight, it's probably safe to assume that the "Link the Fire" ending from Dark Souls is the canon one.
Disgusted, but not surprised Hide / Show RepliesSeems like the former would apply.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDoes anyone else think magic in this game is potent enough to warrant a Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards entry?
Disgusted, but not surprised Hide / Show RepliesWell, if it levels up faster than non-magical factions, maybe. Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards is not just about "potent enough" after all.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've noticed that several entries violate the Example Indentation rules. Specifically, Super Trope-Sub-Trope sorting. Should that be fixed?
Disgusted, but not surprised Hide / Show RepliesYes, and done.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDid id, save for Video Game Settings and Weapon Tropes for lack of time.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWould Lighter and Softer be applicable, at least in regards to NPCs? In the first game, over half of the NPC cast ultimately end up dead or going Hollow, but here, the majority of characters end up just fine, and in Saulen's case, actually end up better by the end. Hell, the only character I know that ends up going Hollow is Lucatiel, and that's only if you buy into the theory that she's the Aslatiel you fight in Aldia's Keep.
Shamelessly plugging my comics, Oh yes. Hide / Show RepliesI 100% see where you're coming from, but my gut says no. Licia is hell-bent on murdering you and stealing your souls and forces you to kill her to stop her crazed invasions, Navlaan wants you to assassinate everybody and tries to kill you several times, Chloanne can't recognize her own father, and Creighton and Pate have a whole lot of weird and unsettling things going on. On top of that, we've got the Rotten, who's stitched together from a bunch of agonized corpses, giants with holes where their faces go, and various other creepy looking enemies and bosses.
New here, so I don't know the basics.
Have you guys tried turning off the music and then go somewhere dark and silent in game? You can hear whispers if you wait around. They are everywhere. Although, I cannot make up what they are saying, though. I can hear whispers at the area before the Duke's dear Freja and other places too. Might wanna put this under nightmare fuel and the hell is that sound.
"The Pursuer is fast, strong and deadly, and he's the second boss!"
The Pursuer is not the second boss.
Hide / Show Replieshe can be, if you take a certain path through the game.

I feel like the first paragraph needs rewriting. It's basically a slight rewording of the first half of the opening narration. It could be somewhat hyperbolically called plagiarism, though this comes off as simply lazy, rather than malicious.
If I'm the only one bothered, feel free to disregard. If not, I'll try to rewrite that puppy so it doesn't seem so much like a copy-paste job....eventually.
