Can you actually eat the food? If so, then you can't feed the bear and you can't pass the troll again without losing some treassure, meaning you can't get the full score and the good ending (some versions let you finish the game without every treassure, but you get a lesser ending, not the "Adventure Grandmaster" one)
So yes, unwinnable at least in some versions. I redacted the entry a bit so it can include these cases.
Edited by TrollBrutalYes you can. The computer replies something like, "Thank you! It was delicious!" I was wondering whether another batch of food would appear somewhere, if you ate the food.
Also, if you don't free the bear, you can't get the golden chain holding him. I don't think you can win unless you find (and take?) all the treasure. There was a time when I never won, because I never found the pirate's chest. You can win if you find the treasure then lose it again — the coins, for example, when exchanged for batteries.
BTW: by winning, I mean reaching the endgame and solving its puzzle.
Unwinnable by Design:
I've been trying to find out what happens if you eat the food. One of the puzzles needs the food, so does this make it unwinnable?
