This item was being edit warred onto/off the YMMV tab. Can we sort out whether it belongs here?

  • Reconstruction: After the brutal deconstruction that was Spec Ops The Line , Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 is very much a reconstruction of the brutal War Is Hell shooting games Modern Warfare helped create. Combining the grit of the Modern Warfare series with the heroism displayed in older Call Of Duty series, it reads like a pretty unflinchingly vicious rebuttal to Spec Ops The Line. For example, that well-meaning villain you're facing? Yeah, just because he's a tragic character and is well-meaning doesn't mean he's any less of a despicable monster. That's why he's considered a terrorist. If he wasn't, you wouldn't be going after him, would you? What's more, the game also acknowledges the fact that the heroes might end up causing a bad situation to get worse by having Woods be the one who accidentally kills Menendez's sister, which is the catalyst that causes him to become a terrorist in the first place, but that doesn't mean the mistakes can't be corrected and the situation still eventually resolved.
    • The ability for the player to make decisions over the course of the story also serves as further Reconstruction, as players are not railroaded into doing deeds that lead to bad outcomes, and can make choices that will positively resolve the situation.

Was it an edit war? The editor who moved it there disagreed with it completely and seemed pretty reluctant to move it to YMMV, and even then, not the right use of Reconstruction, as it's not explicitly reconstructing what Spec Ops The Line attacked.

Reconstruction isn't YMMV so it obviously shouldn't be there.

And... I don't think it really applies anyway. It's just "Call Of Duty kept doing the same thing it was doing." Spec Ops The Line deconstructed the genre, but honestly didn't have enough impact that it needed a reconstruction.

I personally think that Kristina Weaver (Grigori Weaver's neice) is David Masons mother. Why? Because Kristinas role in operation Charbydis was to seduce Alex Mason.

If possible, it would be nice if a list could be compiled of all the celebrities who star in "Surprise", the official Call of Duty: Black Ops II live-action trailer. I've read that iJustine and Robert Downey Jr make cameos, although there seem to be quite a number of other cameos as well.

To the person/people who decide to undertake the task, I'm guessing the list would be more fitting for the Trivia.Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 page...
