Think of it like when a multiplayer game gets a nerf to something, and an editor mentions that old behaviour with the new behaviour. I'd imagine these rules apply; Mention the previous behaviour, but don't add a trope specifically for the old behaviour. I'm gonna start purging alpha/ beta tropes that are specific to the those builds, as the entry is mostly about the released game. I'm not a moderator, but this at least makes sense in my mind.
Edited by Dribbleondo The Hitman guy.I recently deleted some tropes from A Hat in Time's main page because they were about the outhouse being possessed by Hat Kid's soul & I couldn't find any evidence of that being true but I just happened to glimpse the contract text in the game just now & it turns out it is true.
Can a mod revert those particular edits? I only remember one of the tropes was Enemy Within. Sorry I can't help more.
Edited by DYellowMadness Hide / Show RepliesWhile I'm no mod, I have looked into the history and found them:
- Enemy Within: The Toilet of Doom of all things is this. Being that it is Hat Kid's stolen soul possessing a old outhouse and going on a rampage.
- Kicking My Own Butt: Weirdly invoked with the Toilet of Doom as it is Hat Kid fighting her own soul possessing a old outhouse. Her soul seems to get some degree of pleasure in attacking herself as the Toilet is shown indulging in a Evil Laugh whenever it sets down a giant bomb.
Hope this can allow you to add them back in
Edited by auroVeeThere is a video that was recently released by Gears for Breakfast that announces an upcoming DLC. Could any tropes that relate to the DLC be added to the page before the DLC is released?
Hide / Show RepliesWell, for now, only tropes related to the trailer can be safely added. For example, I added Retraux for the Nostalgia Badge because the trailer clearly shows what it does. However, some things like "Death Wish" should be held off until release, because we don't know the full extent of that mode yet. This also goes for the new characters as well.
Should Evil Brit be removed on the basis that Mustache Girl spends most of the game being completely unambiguously not evil & never stops being mostly unambiguously not evil?
A lot of the tropes currently on the page apply to features that were cut for various reasons and only existed in the alpha or beta builds, if that. What's the proper procedure? Just axe them? Mention them as "in the beta build..."? A section for pre-release only tropes?
