I don't see any problem here. Actually I think it should be more emphasized that closer cooperation and integration between the member states is the main goal of the EU.

I edited out most of the bad stuff. It was essentially a huge bash against the critics of the European Union and why they're poo-poo heads.
This article in no way attempts to hide the blatant love the author(s) had for the European Union. After the list of countries, it just becomes a smear and/or strawmanning of any critics of the European Union. This article should not focus on the politics of the European Union, which judging by the content of it brings out very strong emotions. It should shortly describe what it is, and that's that. I haven't edited all too much on this site, so I'm wondering if it would be acceptable if I deleted the second half of the description, where things get nasty.
