As a fan, this page keeps me interested, but there's too many entries from recent-ish years and many of those are incredibly long-winded and overly detailed. As a result, there are a ton of really long entries about more-or-less forgotten moments from 3-4 years ago and comparatively little about the sports' greatest/most memorable moments.

This page has been severely bloated for years now and reads more like a fanzine than a trope page. It needs to be pruned with a chainsaw.
I have been wondering, if it would be possible to divide this page into more useful notes such as NASCAR drivers, NASCAR owners, NASCAR personnel whose contributions are best known outside of the track (promotors, broadcasters, etc.), and NASCAR tracks, to make it similar to the NFL and College Football pages.
