Geometry isn't really a separate area such as algebra or trigonometry. It falls under basic math and under algebra. It's really hard to differentiate where one ends and the other begins, they're so tightly interwoven.
"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower MathematicsI disagree, geometry deals with shapes, distances, blablabla, algebra is the more general area that covers almost all of mathematics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geometry
Trigonometry deals with angles mostly, so it is intertwined with geometry, yep, but they are still not the same, you can not talk about the volume of the sphere using trigonometry. Honestly, I think anything about trigonometry is geometry, but not anything about geometry is trigonometry.
I felt something was off while reading the article since there's no mention about areas, bisectors, mid lines, sizes...
Edited by A-random-guyA-random-guy is correct. Trig is a subdiscipline of Geometry, & Geometry itself is a major discipline of mathematics—the one with the most connection to developing formal logic, at that. "Basic math" is what's not a real discipline; it's a colloquial term for pre-high-school topics (Arithmetic, the simpler Geometry concepts, and possibly Pre-Algebra).
I'm going to do some work on this page. It's all good, but not informative - not "useful notes". It explains that 99% of people are bored by math, then goes on to be boring for the layman.
I don't mean to be stepping on toes here in my changes, I'd just like people to keep reading. Some of the topics covered really need their own Useful Notes pages, not to be on page one math useful notes.
"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics Hide / Show RepliesLet me clarify. As on the useful notes pornography page it says "There are lots of people who like to use pornography, but not so many interested in just the topic itself— sort of like how it's hard to get a history of food out of a person who simply likes to eat— you'll just hear about what they like and what they don't. "
I saw a lot of "what food we like" and very little about "what is math". So I've introduced "what we saw in school" to help people see where they are. More work to come.

I think it would be nice to have a subsection about geometry also, it is one of the most famous areas of mathematics, widely studied since the Babylonians. And a lot of people tend to find it a 'more useful' area of math, calculating the area of stuff etc.
