As Joe Biden is now President-elect, it is likely that this page will have to be overhauled with that context (pages describing Presidents tend to be much more formal than other Useful Notes pages, and Trump's had to be completely rewritten when he went from "reality TV star" to "45th President of the United States." Large parts of this page are still written from the perspective of Joe Biden being known as Obama's Vice President.
Hide / Show RepliesI've stripped out all the contemporary politics stuff. We only need to know what his offices are and what he is known for, and all the nitty-gritty of how the election ran doesn't belong here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis was a contentious election, I think it's best if we apply the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment to the fullest. For example, Trump's claims of voter fraud are unfounded, but bringing them up on a supposedly neutral page seems like a great way to start an edit war. We should just put what the reader needs to know and leave it at that.
Indeed. Doubly so with things like "Let's Go Brandon" in mind, since that stupid thing technically translates out to "Fuck Joe Biden" also due to the Unfortunate Implications of them going Gosh Dang It to Heck! under a NASCAR interview.
That said, speaking of "Let's Go Brandon," the Dark Brandon meme is probably worth an entry under Memetic Badass due to how mainstream it has gotten (to the point of campaign officials posting versions of it)
Under The Onion's entry under "Web Original," "a ineffectual moderate" at the very end should be "an ineffectual moderate"
