Small note someone could add, isn't Project SPARTAN the name of the Halo Project that produced the... well, Spartan soldiers?

Small edit someone could make. According to wikipedia the fabled FRED spoon is not as good as it seems
Someone could remove the note about Emu War, or just mark it as humorous. In reality, the 'Emu War' was pretty much a military hunting party consisting of three men equipped with a truck and two Lewis machine guns. Their objective was to gauge the efficiency of mobile machine gun stations for culling flocks of emus (and procurement of emu feathers for traditional decorations). The secondary objective was a success, the primary was one achieved with very good results - roughly 900 birds were killed, what with the reserve of 10,000 bullets was a result far better than any wartime usage of machine guns (although worse than in the case of regular hunters). The observation was, however, that machine guns are not that useful, as flocks tend to flee when fired upon, and chasing them with cars is resource-consuming. Also, the political implications of using Army during peacetime and risk posed to bystanders made military reluctant to repeat the exercise, even though they were petitioned by farmers several times after the initial 'Emu War'. Eventually, widespread independent hunting incentivized by a bounty system, as well as the implementation of country-wide fence systems proved to be safer and more efficient way of tackling the issue. Given the results of the hunt, assignment of 20 such teams (a small company) could have resulted in total elimination of emus (estimated to be 20,000 in number) in the affected area.
