Can we get rid of that nonsense with the miiverse post? The OP on that post talked on reddit and said he messed up and that he was mistaken in thinking the Grumps covered it up, and that he was sorry he ever opened that can of worms. As for what Arin said, if you actually watch the video in context and don't look at it trying to find some source of controversy, you can hear that it's just a natural lull in the joke being made, where Arin pretends to be frustrated or upset with Dan's victory (Danny makes a similar remark to echo the joke after the next screen shows up).

Seriously, it's been well over a year now, and people are still trying to find reasons to stir up a hornet's nest, except in this case the stick used to agitate the nest broke a year ago and all the hornets have more or less forgotten what made them angry in the first place. Have you even considered how Danny must feel about this? I recall one episode (don't know which one, but I'm sure the conversation occurred, I think it's even listed on the "Funny" page) where Danny recalls being told that he was going to have to endure a mountain of hate from fans, and he blew it off as a joke, but you could tell there was a sense of fatigue and maybe even repressed vitriol in it. This whole situation is like if you were dating someone that your friends greatly approved of, then that person left you, and you started dating someone new, and now all your friends talk about is how much they liked the first person better, and they interrupt you all the time to ask why that person left. "Did you get in a fight?" "I bet it was his/her fault." "What? No way, he/she's a selfish bastard, it had to have been him/her." "You two should hook back up, this new person just isn't as much fun." "You guys were so great together, how could you possibly break up?"

If you're one of the people who keeps nagging about Jon, that's exactly what you're doing, so is it any wonder thay Arin just refuses to talk about it anymore? You can only say "I don't know" and "He just left because he wanted to leave, okay?" so many times before you want to stop telling people and start punching them in the face. And Danny's stuck as the poor defenseless new person in all this, subjected to irrational amounts of disregard and hatred and isolation from the Grump community based solely on the virtue of his not being Jon. There is no reason to stoke this fire any more. Danny is Not-so-Grump now, and he's hilarious. If you don't like him, don't watch Game Grumps anymore, and don't bother coming back to complain. Jon and Arin did not fight, they just had a desire to head in two separate directions. If one or both of those offend you, see above. Even if they did fight, it's none of your business, so just let the issue drop; it's all very much over and done by this point.
