Saw this page on the Cut List. If this was done as a move to the official English, then the cut probably should not happen as the official English is Gakuen Alice, as seen when searching for the series on Amazon for both anime and manga. Though the anime seems to have it both ways so I'm not 100% there.

It is said that if there is an English title available, we should use it, regardless of which title is more popular or more widely known. The Animax channel releases the episodes as Alice Academy, so that's what I'm basing that on.

To be precise, it says (emphasis mine):

"TV Tropes is an English-language wiki, so we prefer to use the English titles where applicable. So if the work has an official localized title, use the English title for the page and add the non-English title as a redirect."

The official English, as far as I've seen, is Gakuen Alice. Look up the series on amazon or Barnes and Noble and that's what it's sold as. Though, as noted in my original post, i wasn't 100% about the anime, since I got mixed results in that instance. On the other hand, I went to animax's website and couldn't even find Alice Academy or Gakuen Alice among 5 days' worth of listings.

Preliminarily declined the request. Also, please use the main work page discussion tab for work-wide discussion, not the discussion tab of a subpage.
