Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards

Looking over the rule book, I do not believe this is true.

The reasoning given, that Nanos can focus everything in one stat, rings false: with a bit of foresight, it is entirely possible and a good idea to make Jacks who focus on either Intellect or Speed (because seriously, the idea that they have to split everything between all stats is simply flase) or Glaives who focus exclusively on Speed or Might.

  • Science Fantasy: Please uncomment this when we learn enough to add context, as Zero Context Examples are not allowed on the wiki.

How about we grab the description from Torment: Tides of Numenera?

  • Science Fantasy: Takes place in the far future of Earth, where the world has reverted to a quasi-medieval state after the latest fall of civilization.

Come to think of it, this needs a bit of work, too. Still, I'm pretty sure we can come up with a good description, as the setting has a very obvious Science Fantasy vibe. Something along the lines of how technology is often designed to seemingly look like magic, maybe? There are plenty of angles to use here.

This happened because Tim had made a mistake. Hide / Show Replies

Somebody put a lengthy example for Numenera on the Science Fantasy article. I'll just copy-paste that.
