just posted this on facebook, might as well post here too. spoilers, in case no one figured that out yet.
so i've been thinkin' about why t hasn't shown up in any promotional ads or previews for season 2, and came up with a pretty good theory if i don't say so myself: t and tara have successfully merged as of the season 1 finale. and there are several reasons why i came up with this theory
1) keep in mind that the last time t was shown, alice surfaced and was talking about how t was trying to come out again. alice seemingly was able to block t and said "and tara...i have no idea where tara has gone off to."
i think at that point t and tara were successfully merged and the t part was trying to talk. alice didn't know where tara went because her and t were already one in the same, and alice hadn't realized it yet.
2) also tara is showing a LOT of t like qualities. in the season premiere tara was making a bunch of inappropriately hilarious jokes in front of their dead neighbor's house. something t would usually do and not tara. and in the last episode when tara heard about marshall and his girlfriend she said "marshall, straight? i guess that makes sense....on opposite day." tara playfully teased about marshall's sexuality, only something t would do.
i know that that was already a lot, but bear with me. i think the rest of the show will play out by having each season dedicated to tara's merging with an alter. t's merge was season 1, and this season is lookin' like it's buck's turn. i say that because the first alter we saw in the series was t; the first we saw this season was buck. t appeared much more often than the others last season; buck seems to be taking center stage this season what with his breakdown in the bathroom.

The thing with T was something I noticed too, right at the beginning of the season, though at first I thought this might be the new alter Shoshanna starting to appear, given that at that stage all I knew was the name, and the heads up that a new alter was going to show up.
I'm less sure about Buck being merged, but this does seem to be his season in the spotlight.
T showing up in the penultimate episode kind of shoots down this theory. Too bad, it was cool.
Ok just watch 3.6 on demand. Do i smell a new alter?
