It did turn out to be correct, but it's embarrassingly premature if we're including tropes that might perhaps be true in future instead of just waiting a little to make sure that the works actually include the tropes that we're saying they include. There's a lot of that happening (half of the Toqger character tropes were based on wild guesses from the premier for example) but including a trope that's literally impossible at the time when it's added is a very visible example.
It wasn't that impossible. It had been confirmed by official sources in multiple discussion boards before the premiere that there would be evolving credits. And even if that wasn't the case, the first episode opening credits only showed three of the nine rangers transforming. I don't think it was that much of a stretch for whoever put the trope down to make that call.
Thank you for the additional information. I wasn't aware that it had been confirmed externally, so thank you for clearing that up; that certainly stops the Evolving Credits trope from being impossible to apply for a single episode. I still disagree with the second point though; it doesn't reflect well on us if we add things that are likely but unconfirmed to be true because we're more concerned about adding tropes quickly than we are about waiting a single week. Otherwise we might as well start adding tropes now about how there will be a body-swap episode and an episode where everyone dresses up, and then deleting those if we get to the end of the season and they haven't shown.

I know we all like to get excited about new shows, but do we really have an Evolving Credits trope entry BEFORE THE SECOND EPISODE has been broadcast?
