"Improbably Cool Car — Meldrew's thirdgen Civic. Granted it is stock.
How on Earth is this car remotely cool? It's a completely unmodified, basic small 1980s Japanese saloon (sedan to you Americans). All of the cars owned by Victor seem to be deliberately chosen as the typical kind of drab car a British pensioner would drive, eg. Nissan Almera.

I was just coming here to ask the same thing since it's been bugging me as well; back when OF It G was on TV, the Civic was the go-to car for OAP's and our neighbour referred to theirs as their "Honda Sensible".
Removing it.
Looking for comments on removing Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist, since in Victor's case I don't think it's warranted. He just seems to be an upstanding, if grumpy, citizen who's had the bad lack to be born into a cruel Crapsack World, he doesn't strike me as especially vengeful or petty.
Anyone agree/disagree?
