Is the bit about Preston in the description correct? I thought he walked off because they were reading excerpts from his wife's awful awful autobiography, rather than because they were taking the piss out of him.

Both! He was already pissed off by the start of the first round, after Simon's introductions included cracks at his band and his reality TV career. The hilariously terrible autobiography just compounded the fury.
