One trope I really like seeing averted here is the "conflict between a married (or long-term) couple" angle. Christine and Sam don't experience ongoing misunderstandings and while they might occasionally question things they see, they love each other too much to refuse to explain to each other.

So I'm looking over this a few years after the tropes page was more or less finalized, and it feels kind of nattery to me in places. I'll make up a sandboxed version of how I might condense the verbiage and link it here if anyone would like to critique or expand or further compress the language.
