Anybody else feel like the Amy's Baking Company episode should get its own Recap page?
I've looked at the tropes for "Amy's Baking Company", and I'm not amused that tropes such as Evil Chef and Villainous Breakdown are on the page.
Amy, her husband, and other undesirable chefs are real people, so flat-out calling them villains isn't a good idea. I suggest these tropes are either removed or rewritten to stay neutral.
After rewatching the episode on Sebastian's, can I add an example of "Spanner in the Works?" Since after Gordon's changes, everything was running smoothly, however Sebastian ruined everything like muddling up orders and breaking out the microwave over the fact that they disposed of his overly-complex menu system.
It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!I think we need to put the tropes related to Amy's Baking Company (both in the show and real life) into a new page.
Hide / Show RepliesI'd say it hasn't gotten that bad, but we might consider separating it into its own subsection.
Are they deliberately trying to make Sebastian's look good?
There is no better refuge but in audacityI don't think a new page or subsection is needed... but what IS needed, badly, is for people to avoid rampaging Thread Mode and use proper Example Indentation.
Jet-a-Reeno!Really, really agreed. I got fed up of the constant references at about the Downer Ending mark. Which is ironic, really.
I don't think it needs the subsection either. It's mostly endless repetition with tropers listing the same handful of facts under as many tropes as they can possibly be wrestled into. I'm not sure any power on Earth short of locking the page would prevent it, though, considering the unbelievable Internet Backdraft Amy's Baking Company has received.
Spinning it off into a separate page might not be a bad idea, just to keep the main Kitchen Nightmares page still in a usable condition.
The page mentions that, in the Amy's Baking Company episode, the duo insisted on charging a customer for food that he hadn't received. The thing is, this isn't quite the case — it's a bit hard to hear, but Sammy wants them to pay for their drinks (which they had received), not the pizza. Which is still stupid, but not quite as insane as charging them for their food.
In the "Return to Amy's Baking Company" Episode, the interview showed Amy saying a few things that I find noteworthy. The big thing is that she may or may not have implied she has Tourette's, supported by how she tends to either stare or blink a lot when talking (increases when she's angry). Are these two things noteworthy enough for inclusion? Quote from her, verbatim:
