The Messiah is no longer a trope. Please readd under an actual trope.

  • The Messiah: Lynsey Nolan. Part of the reason her sudden death left everyone so devestating was because no-one in the village could say a single bad word about her. In a meta-sense, the mere idea of someone dying wasn't even hinted at being a possibility in the synopsis of the forthcoming episodes released to the public, and the show making every attempt to cover the death up until they aired the episode featuring the discovery of her body.

Hair of Gold has been renamed Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold. Don't readd unless it's an example:

  • Hair of Gold: Blonde Carmel is a much nicer person than her siblings, most of whom are dark-haired. On the other hand, Michaela is also blonde, and is possibly the biggest bitch of the lot.
    • Things seem to have improved in the last few years, but there was a point about 5 or 6 years ago where literally every single female character was blonde - apart from the nerdy, uptight character who had dark hair.
    • However, unlike her other dark haired siblings, Michaela provided valuable support to her pregnant friend, to Josh during his failed exams, is in college, and possesses a steady income.
    • Esther Bloom is the only blond out of her trio of "friends", and she's a far kinder and sweeter person than the dark haired Ruby Button and Sinead O'Connor.
    • Hannah Ashworth was the sweet and innocent one in her friendship group, in contrast to the darker haired Sarah and Nancy.
