There's Broad Strokes, and then there's things that would actually stop it being a Batman story. So we know that Bruce is, for example, going to be Batman. We can be fairly certain Jim is going to be comissioner. And we can be pretty certain that Eddie's going to be the Riddler.
But yes, in a story like this some things are a "Foregone Conclusion" right up to the point when they suddenly don't happen (Barbara, for instance).
Edited by DaibhidC"...while carrying old flip phones, televisions are old CRT models" does this really count? Television uses flip phones all the time (more dramatic) and CRT televisions are still fairly common.
Hide / Show RepliesAgreed. It's not like they're using car phones with wires and antennae on the rear window and watching black-and-white sets. I see flip phones and CRT televisions every day. (Also, if you have characters using smartphones, people will assume you're doing product placement unless you put logos for fake brands on them and make sure they're visible)

Is this confirmed to be in-continuity with any given Batman mythos? Some things like Foregone Conclusion seem to indicate that it is, but given the apparent Broad Strokes I hardly see it being a Foregone Conclusion.
