Pretty sure they were. Lesbian sex require penetration to "count" is a old stereotype, and that shot of the jars of cherries falling really has no other explanation. Also her teeths shooting out mid-grinding... yeah

Yu-Shin removed Making Love in All the Wrong Places, part of Rule of Symbolism and Their First Time saying it isn't stated in the show that Cal and Juliette had sex. Rewatching the scene though it does seem like they might have-I admit that it's not explicit (which is to be expected in a teen drama). I don't remember whether it was said they did later. What do other people think? Did they indicate the two had sex or state this later?
