  • All multiplayer matches [in Splatoon 3] now use peer-to-peer connection, completely separate from Nintendo's servers. This creates lag between players; such severely weakened the canopies of all Brella-class weapons before the 4.0.0 update; and if the host disconnects, the connection goes haywire when moving to another host, often creating more unintentional disconnects — which are counted as losses anyway.

Was this not the case in the previous two games? I thought Nintendo online has always been P2P.

They were, all Splatoon games thus far are P2P. I'll move that to series-wide.
