- The eight enchanted items of the great mage Meadowbrook. Will they be the objectives of a Fetch Quest, or were they just a Red Herring?
I can fin no mention of any of these things anywhere on this page of the previous episodes. Is it here by accident? If not, where in the episode does it come up?
Hide / Show Replies"I haven't studied Eastern unicorns as much as I should have, but I'm pretty sure Meadowbrook only had eight magical items, not nine." It was during the first Room101 scene.
I doubt that Meadowbrook will play any more of a role in this season than Starswirl the Bearded did in Season 2. Twilight's knowledge of Meadowbrook could probably be considered a Chekhov's Hobby.
Edited by pvsageI removed Party Favor's Heroic Sacrifice as the trope description specifically states that the person making the sacrifice must end up dead, maimed, or crippled for it to count. Someone has added it back, would I be right to remove it again?
I agree that the Staff of Sameness isn't a Magic Feather, and that Simple Staff is a combat trope, but...surely the staff doesn't fall into the Chairs Sit On People category? We don't have a trope for a mage pretending that a mundane prop is a Magic Staff?

Can we really call the similarities to Legend of Korra a Shout-Out? Shout Outs have to be deliberate, don't they?
