Since Star Wars became popular, a lot of tropers think that any usage of that phrase is a reference to Star Wars. It's called apophenia.

Since when saying "It's a trap!" is istantly considered a reference to Admiral Ackbar? I mean come on, it's a fairly commonly used stock phrase...
