This is now URGENT, considering the OS has launched. I can name one trope for it already - Obvious Beta.
Please use the edit requests for locked pages thread. Also, urgent or no, I need a writeup to add.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhy is this page locked? Because of Microsoft itself being in the Permanent Red Link Club due to trolling. Please get it out of there in a locked state.
Nah, I doubt that there is any use on a company page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis is an updated version of the video link and shows the process happening on real hardware.

Edited by 116.88.49.219 The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Windows 10 (they're skipping 9) has been announced and is targeted for launch in 2015. It looks a lot like Windows 8 except with a start menu (so, in other words, a lot like Windows 8.1). Whether the start menu or start screen is used by default will supposedly be based on what type of device is detected.
Please request edits here, and nowhere else. Thanks.

I see that there isn't a lock on this now. Can it be possible to make a new page for this and put on a cautionary lock to prevent any further bile?
I now go by Graf von Tirol. Hide / Show RepliesI'll do the task of writing up a (hopefully) unbiased page. And we'll see how it goes.
It annoys me though that the other O Ses are there but not Windows because of a few people who couldn't resist blasting it.
The page looks good so far. It's been locked to prevent any future knavery; please use the "Edits to locked pages" thread in the FAQ forum to request future changes.
Er... why were this and the Microsoft page cut-and-locked? They didn't seem like flamebait material to me, and they seemed fairly well-written.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDoes anyone else think it would be a good idea to move this page to Microsoft Operating Systems? It covers MS-DOS and OS/2 and not just Windows.

Okay, so now with discussion about Windows 10...
Anyone with a possible write-up for it?
