Preferably, examples should include some kind of chart position. Otherwise, what is the "hit"? There are artists who are considered one hit wonders who never made the Top 40, like the Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men", that are now considered one hit wonders through ubiquity. But none of the extreme metal examples have that going for them. I'd consider removing them.

I feel tempted to put The Stone Roses on this list. I know, they have some other songs of their's that hit the alternative charts, and are definitely not one-hit-wonders in their hometown, but they only have one song that entered the mainstream charts in the United States, "Love Spreads." Should I include them?

Can the Extreme Metal examples even be considered One Hit Wonders? I don’t know if the charting positions would be necessary and feel more like “people only know this one song” without any indication as to why (Chart Displacement notwithstanding).
