5th Edition Updates: The parts about Lolth (and perhaps Cyric too) need a small update. Lolth's victory was very short lived, because Eilistraee, Vhaeraun and the rest of the drow pantheon is back after The Sundering, and Eilistraee and Vhaeraun are even allied against her. Ed Greenwood's take on the matter is that Lolth didn't actually manage to kill them (sources are listed here and here (note 3 and 4)).
Cyric attempt to kill Mystra wasn't exactly successful either, since she actually managed to survive, very weakened, and then reappear in the 1480s DR.
