I noticed that the community likes to say the phrase "It's the Spy from Team Fortress 2!" or something similar with mock excitement in certain contexts. Does anyone have an idea of what those contexts are in general? I only vaguely know that it's used in response to anything only superficially related to the Spy or some other merc, or in response to amateur Spy players.
Edited by Unnerving_PosteriorSay, where's Surprise Buttsecks? Should someone put it into Community-created stuff?
Hide / Show RepliesGo ahead, nothing's stopping you.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I'm left to wonder why the labelnote for "Pootis" isn't working...
I now go by Graf von Tirol. Hide / Show RepliesIt works in the Wiki Sandbox. This is bizarre. I'll bring it up in Ask The Tropers.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The previous labelnote (a couple bullet points up) wasn't closed properly, so it was eating this one. Fixed at the advice of Septimus.

DED! may have an older etymology. I know that wayy back, in Infantry (Sony Station.com game), in team chat, people would quickly type "ded" when killed, to let teammates know they had failed in whatever task they were on. It's faster to type than "dead" since its two keys and right next to each other.
