If there's a new age coming up real soon, it could well be called the Age of Spin-Offs - a comic comes to an end, but in ending, spins off at least two more series and in the course of these spin-offs, there may well be MORE short series and spin-offs. Which, even after they come to an end, may be referenced in the future in other spin-offs.

For example, the IDW Transformers came to an end technically, but in doing so rolled off "More Than Meets The Eye" and "Robots In Disguise" - both of which crossed over and had sub-series of their own (Windblade and Combiner Wars), which forces a person to buy about four series to keep up with the whole universe.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.
