K, I know this is a manga that lives and breaths in What Do You Mean It's Not Awesome, and I accept that entirely. Yes, the physics are overblown, but I kinda see that in a blink of an eye sometimes football players do move that epically. But seriously, how does Sho Shunko's Counter Shoot work?!
Hide / Show RepliesRule of Cool. 'Nuff said. :D
Honestly, Captain Tsubasa respects physics much more than, say, Inazuma Eleven. I mean, seriously, kids throwing obviously superhuman E Lemental Powers Ki Attacks around willy-nilly?
Edited by MarqFJA Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Problem is it's the only technique where the physics doesn't work. Crazy as it is, Skylab Hurricane can throw people up to the sky. Or Raiju Shoot, when you've to kick the ground, so when your foot is off it'll go like an arrow. But Counter Shoot...you need to double the force of the initial shoot: first to stop the ball from coming toward your team's goal, then to make it go the opposite way. Such a waste of energy! If you can shoot that powerful already, you may as well shoot normally.
Well, it still is a good way of turning a defensive maneuver into an offensive one, Awesome, but Impractical or not.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The World Youth final...you know, Hyuga gives Tsubasa-Misaki Raiju Pass, which they continue with Raiju Twin Shoot. The direction doesn't change at all; Tsubasa and Misaki merely add more power to the ball. That makes sense. Counter-Shoot...doesn't.
