I'm just going to say that this trope really missed the chance to be self-referential by not calling itself Worst Trope Ever.

Edit: Which is apparently taken by something on the Darth Wiki.

Nah, gratuitous renames are very frowned upon. Also, it sounds like complaining about tropes. Also, "trope" is not really suited to be a placeholder name.
