Would Flash Gordon be the trope namer for this?

Google says there is a song with that name played by Queen in the Highlander soundtrack.

Wikipedia says the Queen song is inspired by the movie. I'm going to put it as the trope namer.

I feel the trope picture is way too vague. Would anyone be up for exchanging it with the panels from this comic? http://www.twogag.com/archives/2477

I've been thinking, do the Daleks of Doctor who count as an aversion?

I think it's worth noting at the beginning of this article that 90% of the supposed aversions/subversions/inversions where people actually WANT to live forever are statements made by characters who only recently became immortal.

But... I don't have the guts to write in the actual article. Correcting grammar in the examples? Sure! But adding to the articles?! That's a job for someone with a user page.

Comon you apes, you wanna live forever?!

  • Is there a trope listing for when this question is asked rhetorically or ironically? ie: As a rallying cry before troops go into battle?
