I'm not very familiar with the Castlevania series, so I can't say for sure about the first two points. But if Fanon does portray them as a "family with BDSM-whipping kink" I guess you could make an example focused on that.
But on the third point and this bit "In terms of dominance, its purpose to slay creatures of the dark signifies that it holds a magical dominance over creatures of the dark." I think it's a bit of a stretch on the concept of domination/control and doesn't really fit.
This is one of the reasons some people where reluctant to scrap the previous whip related trope, also the real-life section was very handy for anyone trying to come up with realistic weapons for a whip wielding character. For this reason I think there should be some place for the information.
