I think the page image should be changed back to this, because Rei is a perfect example of "when she smiles" and this picture is without question one of the cutest I have seen of her. Clicking on it was actually how I found out about NGE.

It seems like that's what most people want, but I'm not sure why it was changed; I can't find it in the page history.

Never mind; I found it by searching that pic's url. There is no reason given for the change, so should it be turned back?

I think Rei picture is more suitable than this one.

I'm deleting the Real Life section and putting a tag on the page restricting it to In-Universe examples. This isn't an Audience Reaction trope—the examples list should only include examples from media.

I haven't done a pass through the other sections, but if an example isn't specifying how it's used In-Universe, moving it off the main page and onto the discussion page (which is here) until someone familiar with the work can verify it would be a good idea.

Any personal experiences with the trope should be reworded in first-person and put in TroperTales. When She Smiles.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Any particular reason the image got changed? Yeah, I can see how the Rebuild Of Evangelion image was a tad too blurry and indistinct, but Yuki's smile seemed to be pretty much a perfect example of this trope.

The current one, on the other hand, is pretty much The Unsmile.

What's precedent ever done for us?

Would it be wrong of me to add a link to this to the Zuko example? Or perhaps the first in that miniseries? (Look, uncle! Kittens!)

Hmm... Are you sure there isn't an evil cousin trope for when an Psychotic Smirk, Slasher Smile, or Evil Laugh makes the viewer want to imitate it? The Joker and many Magnificent Bastards in all mediums somehow pull it off. Villainous Charisma?

That's for YKTTW, I think. This is more a Moe trope, really.
