Now I get why we're living in a rightist world. The reason right-wing camps always win is that left-wing camps are prone to infighting while right-wing camps tend to be united.

Can someone explain to me why the "ARE" is capitalised? Is it a reference to something?

It bugs me too, the emphasis should be on "together" rather than "are" and I can't find any mention of it being a quote or anything.

I wish to comment on the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, incidentally leading to the interpretation of Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany as "allies", in the real life section (but also other places in this very wiki). That "alliance" was actually only a treaty of non-aggression, and similar treaties existed between Nazi Germany and France, Great Britain, and even (shock and horror) Poland, who made this treaty with the Hitler regime in 1935 already. In other words, Hitler did not attack an ally during the Barbarossa. He only ripped a part a treaty of non-aggression. The communist regime and the slav areas in the east were Hitler´s main goal for his Lebensraum policy, and the western powers, not very happy about the Soviets themselves, were actually fine with the thought of letting Hitler fight that war for them - until the war actually began. The treaty signed in august 1939 (Soviet Russia being the last country to actually sign this with Nazi Germany), was actually Hitler´s idea, postponing a war with the Soviets, and securing that Poland would get minimal help. A war with the Soviets came a year later anyway. This narrative was used for most of the post-war era. That said, Stalin´s Purge only a year before had left him with few capable officers, and he took that opportunity because he also was loathe to risk a war with nazi Germany at that point. I just wished to point this out. The attack on Finland was a kind of separate issue, not directly connected to this treaty, as far as I can see.

Except the relationship didn't stop at non-aggression, German and Soviet forces worked together to invade other countries and even had victory parades together

Moved the Real Life stuff to a new page... which apparently doesn't have an icon to display at the top. I'll add a link in the intro.

I rarely visit the forums to avoid the cynicism ooze.
