The trope description doesn't seem to be noticably different from Mundane Wish — the last line distinguishes the two by saying Mundane Wish is when you wish for a sandwich or something on purpose, implying that this trope is when you do it by accident, but the rest of it doesn't support that, with the first paragraph sayin "if it's unintentional", and the second talking about why someone would choose to "waste" a wish.

Doofenshmirtz was able to exploit this trope when he accidentally invoked it after Perry the Platypus knocked a bookshelf on his foot. Doof: I wish to control all the- *bookshelf falls on foot* AH! CHEESE AND CRACKERS!

This inadvertently gives him control over cheese and crackers.

I remember that "i wish i knew what to wish for" was somewhat common manifestation of this trope but i can't think of any nor find any examples on the page.

Pee-Wee Herman also said that in the episode of Pee-Wee's Playhouse "The Restaurant." He happened to waste his wish in that episode.

I believe the Sofia The First example should be in God Test instead of Wasteful Wishing since Amber was merely skeptical about the wishing well and decided to use one of her three wishes to test the well.
