In a number of ways this duplicates Mini-Mecha- the trope for the Aliens suit, Warhammer 40k sentinels, AT-AT's and these I have heard referred to as "Walkers" before. There are the big walking fortresses sometimes but these I've always seen as different.

So either a) trope is covered or b) trope is distinct- the big walking fortress- but needs a different name. It has examples so I'm not inclined to cut it until passing it through the repair shop.
