This is one of the most popular subjects in the Nonhuman section of Literotica, rivaled only by werewolves.

I found a really cool secondary quote from an RPG book from Vampire The Requiem. It's Genre Savvy and really emphasizes how unnatural the trope is, though it is pretty crass. If anyone has a problem with it, I can find a not-as-cool but more tame one from the same source.

If it involves elves or vampires, I probably edited it at some point
